**What you will be doing**
As the General Manager of our 188-bed hostel in Whistler (Cheakamus Crossing), you will be responsible for all aspects of hostel operations in addition to managing staff accommodation and our on-site cafe.
Along with strategic planning and revenue management you will directly oversee and ensure that the management team, including the Assistant General Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, Cafe Supervisor and Maintenance Staff are working together to provide accommodation and services that meet both the customer's needs and HI-C-PM Region’s standards.
Additional responsibilities include hiring and training of staff, budgeting, cash control, as well as liaising with local organizations and tourism associations to build relationships, generate new business and maximize occupancy. As General Manager, you will also be responsible for overseeing staff accommodation and the operation of HI-Whistler’s 450 sq. ft. on-site café.
