**Job Summary**:
The Overnight Concierge will be responsible for maintaining a presence at the main reception desk to answer phones, monitor entrance points, complete various administrative duties including night auditing, nightly status reports and supporting our marketing department as required. An addition component of this position is to maintain the security of the building and its residents during the overnights. This includes conducting scheduled foot patrols of the building, mechanical rooms and resident floors, monitoring closed circuit cameras and fire panel for activity, registering and accounting for all visitors entering the building and most importantly assisting with the emergency response process when necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safeguard the security of all residents, staff, and visitors at The Dunfield.
- Protect the company and our resident’s assets against theft, vandalism and abuse.
- Maintain primary presence at building entrance to receive and transfer incoming calls, monitor CCTV’s & building access points and ensure registration of all overnight visitors.
- Conduct scheduled nightly building patrols.
- Act as lead contact in interactions with external emergency services (EMS, TPS, TFD).
- Interpreting and enforcing the Criminal Code of Canada and applicable legislation as it relates to residential properties.
- Ensure the proper documentation of all incidents in the reporting system.
- Completion of nightly shift logs and checklists.
- Complete End of Day Sequence Nightly.
- Preparing Daily Deposit.
- Perform administrative tasks and functions as assigned by Management.
- Liaise with Nursing staff as required.
- Develop a rapport with staff, residents and resident families.
- Initiate call tree to notify management in the event of building emergencies.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- 2 years previous experience required, preferably in a residential or healthcare environment.
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a retirement residence an asset.
- Must be able to work well under pressure in emergency situations.
- Good customer services skills.
- Knowledge and training in Fire Safety a strong asset.
- Ability to physically restrain trespassers if necessary.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional manner and ability to work independently.
- Proven decision maker and analytical thinker.

**Working Condition**:

- Ability to work overnights and extended hours (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
- Must be able to work a few weekends and holidays when needed
