**Job Overview**:

Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders (LGF) is seeking a dynamic and energetic Coordinator, Volunteer Services to ensure our peer support programs have skilled volunteers in place and that our volunteers have an excellent volunteer experience.
The Coordinator, Volunteer Services will play a key role in LGF and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition plan, enhancing the reach and impact of our programs. This individual will plan, lead, and engage a large volunteer team by taking an active role in connecting volunteers with the LGF community, supporting training initiatives, developing new avenues for recruiting volunteers, and celebrating volunteer contributions. Bringing compassion and excellence to the role, you will work closely with the program team members to ensure volunteers are well matched to programs and supported throughout their time with Looking Glass.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead onboarding and orientation, and coordinate initial training of all volunteers, liaising with the program team to ensure volunteers are matched to placements that align with individuals’ strengths and program needs.
- Maintain and revise volunteer resources to ensure they align with on-going program updates and best practices.
- Collect and manage program-related data to support evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts across volunteer services.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to practicum students placed through post secondary institutions.
- Prepare written reference letters and provide professional recommendations to support volunteers pursuing academic or employment opportunities.
- Utilize technology platforms such as Mentor city, Smartsheet, Survey Monkey and Keela to ensure effective delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of volunteer services.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of training resources to support ongoing volunteer learning, confidence, and role preparedness.
- Coordinate and attend recruitment initiatives, including virtual and in-person events, while also building inclusive outreach strategies to engage volunteers from diverse backgrounds, regions, and cultural communities across Canada.
- Plan and oversee volunteer involvement in organizational events such as the LGF Gala and Eating Disorders Awareness Week, as well as internal events designed to foster connection, celebrate contributions, and promote volunteer recognition and appreciation.
- Work collaboratively with the team to assess emerging volunteer needs and contribute to the long-term strategies that support the growth and sustainability of LGF’s volunteer community.

- Background and Experience:_
- Related degree/diploma
- 3 years experience in a related position, ideally with volunteer oversight
- Knowledge of volunteer management processes, and recruitment and retention approaches
- Demonstrated proficiency in using MS 365 suite
- Experience conducting interviews/assessments with a diverse population
- Excellent inter-cultural communication and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals and positive results
**Terms of Employment**:
- This position reports to the Executive Director
- Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week
- Occasional evening and weekend work is required
- Hybrid work schedule - typically working from home 2 days/week and 3 days/week in person at our office in Vancouver
- Starting annual salary range of $58,000 - $60,000, based on skills and experience
- Extended benefits following successful completion of 3 month probation period (50% of premiums covered by employee, 50% covered by employer)
- Three weeks paid vacation
- Employment is contingent on successful completion of a criminal record check for working with a vulnerable sector
