Apply today to join our teamCurrently, the portfolio for this role includes the gift shop at VCH and supports other weekend programs.As a Coordinator, Volunteer Resources at VCH will:Collaborate with the general public, hospital staff, community groups and others to develop, plan and coordinate volunteer programs and activities.Establish and maintain working relationships, conducts needs assessments, coordinates and evaluates volunteer programs Recruits and trains volunteers and coordinates their deployment.Act as a resource for staff who interact with volunteers and ensures compliance with organizational policies relevant to volunteers. Qualifications Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Social Sciences plus three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Ability to supervise.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.
