Material Control Supervisor

**Summary**:
The purpose of the **Material Control Supervisor** includes, but is not limited to, overseeing and coordinating your deliverables. Your focus will be to deliver on time and on budget, maintain quality, standards, and maintain the highest safety standards possible.
You will work with the Production and Project Supervisors on a day-to-day basis to ensure that your department maintains material control and organization on the production floor. Duties must be performed consistent with company Vision, Mission and Values and adherence to company policies and procedures. Effective and consistent communication is the key to project success.
**Principal Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Coordinate, manage, supervise, and participate in the daily work of material coordinators, including - receiving, shipping, order picking and inventory of stock materials.
- Collaborate with the project supervisors and other department supervisors to ensure that all deliverables are executed as per the schedule and hours
- Manage and supervise the inventory transaction processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timeliness and responsible for completing inventory cycle counts per quarter
- Project coordination and execution of all aspects of outsource program for structural steel, pressure vessels, pressure piping and coating.
- Contribute to the staging, storage and shipment planning for the project and consult with project managers to coordinate overall project shipping requirements.
- Arrange material returns to vendors and ensure credits flow back to the project.
- Communicate daily with your team with focus on safety, cost, delivery, quality, and people
- Accountable to ensure material control area is clean and organized (support 5S)
- Ensure adherence to Enerflex policies and OH&S guidelines
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum five (5) plus years’ experience in a material control type role preferably within a manufacturing environment or equivalent time working for a sales/distribution type company in a material control type role.
- Knowledge of required oil & gas manufacturing materials/services, client requirements, product uses, sources and market conditions would be considered an asset
- Trade experience within a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset, as will experience working with a fabrication vendor.
- Proven leadership abilities with strong business acumen.
- Ability to build a team environment and possess ability to develop and coach employees in a positive manner.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
- Strong organizational skills to manage workload within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent technical skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP & Kronos
- Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Persuasive, consensus team builder
- Aptitude to function as a change agent, to foster creativity and idea generation with regard to process improvement, and the ability to leverage information systems to achieve efficient and effecting reporting.
- Energetic, innovative self-starter, committed to continuous improvement and creative problem-solving. Takes the initiative in improving job role and departmental processes and procedures.
