We are currently seeking an experienced **Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant** to join our team in supporting raw material planning, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse.
**Position Overview**
The Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for both demand management and inventory planning across product lines. This role involves planning inventory, scheduling manufacturing orders, and coordinating the flow of materials to meet delivery timelines for forecasted and actual sales—while minimizing inventory levels.
The planner will also manage logistics and shipping for customer orders to ensure timely delivery and high service standards. They will regularly update planning systems to reflect demand changes, maintain accuracy in inventory records, track item usage history, and manage forecasting data.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records in the ERP system by performing data entry for material movements, receipts, and adjustments.
2. Support the monitoring of inventory levels by regularly checking stock quantities and reporting low stock or discrepancies to the supervisor.
3. Assist in releasing manufacturing orders by preparing pick lists and ensuring materials are staged and ready for production according to schedules.
4. Coordinate material movements within the warehouse to support production flow and maintain organized storage of raw materials and finished goods.
5. Participate in monthly cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate documentation during counting activities.
6. Support inventory audits by helping to investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies or negative balances under supervisor guidance.
7. Assist in identifying material shortages by communicating observed gaps or issues to the supervisor for timely resolution.
8. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas in alignment with workplace safety practices.
9. Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production teams to facilitate timely material availability for production orders.
10. Perform other warehouse and inventory-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Higher Diploma or Professional Certificate required.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, or materials planning.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
