Pest Control Technician (Full-Time) – Martin's Pest Control

Martin's Pest Control is a well-established, reputable company serving Calgary and the surrounding area. We are expanding our team and looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Pest Control Technician who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and can build strong client relationships.

What You'll Do

· Deliver high-quality pest control services to residential and commercial clients

· Diagnose pest issues and implement appropriate treatment plans

· Communicate professionally with customers, including clear explanations and timely follow-ups

· Complete accurate service documentation in company systems (mobile/tablet-based)

· Follow all industry regulations, safety standards, and company procedures

· Maintain your service vehicle and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials

· Identify and promote additional services when appropriate, clearly explaining options and benefits to customers. A strong sales mindset is important in this role.

What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone with a strong sales mindset, capable of identifying customer needs and confidently offering solutions.

· Valid Class 5 licence with minimum 5 years of recent, verifiable driving experience

· Strong sales mindset with the ability to recognize client needs and present additional service options

· Strong English communication skills — clear, professional, and easy to understand

· Excellent time-management and reliability — must follow schedules and commitments

· Respectful, responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently

· Strong customer-service approach and problem-solving ability

· Physically able to work on ladders, carry equipment, and work outdoors in all seasons

· Comfortable using phones/tablets for documentation and communication

Preferred but Not Required

(We prefer candidates who already have these, but we are more focused on hiring the right person and can support training where needed.)

· Structural Pest Control License (preferred, but we will train and support the right candidate in obtaining it)

· Arborist license (ISA Certified)

· Experience in pest control, trades, customer service, or mobile field work

· fluent in a second language

Requirements

· Must have your own reliable vehicle suitable for carrying tools and materials (roof rack and secure storage are assets). A compensation arrangement for vehicle use is included.

· Must follow all safety protocols and company standards

· Must be able to complete accurate notes and documentation after each service

· Must obtain the Structural Pest Control License within the first month of probation (company-assisted)

· Must be open to training and committed to following procedures consistently
