**Position/Role**:Health & Safety Coordinator

**Primary Location**: Hamilton Head Office

**Position Outline and & Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Manager of Warehouse Operations, the Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for administering and supporting the continuous improvement of the company’s Health & Safety program, and for ensuring compliance to all applicable regulations.

The H&S Coordinator will conduct audits of sites, procedures and individual performance; participate in incident investigations; make recommendations for corrective actions; participate in new employee onboarding and other training as required; participate in JHSC meetings; evaluate current and develop new procedures and policies related to Health & Safety; perform and document risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses; compile and analyze data; prepare and deliver presentations to employees at all levels of the organization; and prepare written reports. Other duties as are reasonably assigned.

The H&S Coordinator is integral in promoting a culture of Safety, and so is expected to carry themselves in a professional manner and provide a positive example at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Familiarity with safety-critical warehousing and industrial operations/environments.
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety legislation
- Provide own transportation to each Hamilton site, and possess valid drivers license in order to driver Company vehicles when need arises.
- Ability to spend time in the field in all environmental conditions as necessary; walking, standing, crouching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Certificates, designations and/or diplomas in Safety-related fields an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
