**We are seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator in the industrial and construction industry to work from our Hamilton, Ontario Division reporting to the Canadian Safety Manager.**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Conduct Safety orientation and annual training.
- Complete job site specific safety plans and audits
- Input and maintain training recordkeeping with training tracking software program.
- Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Communicate safety trends and opportunities for improvement to management, field supervision, customers, and employees.
- Active member of professional safety team. Participate in establishing best practices and continuous improvement.
- Day travel 50% - 75% of the time amongst job sites.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM**
- A bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- It is critical that this position demonstrate professionalism and conduct that sets an example of the core values of the organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety policies and regulations.
- Ability to train and communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to professionally handle a fast-paced change-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Preferred experience in construction or union environments with fluctuating volume of projects and activity.
