**Starting pay scale**: $21.50

**This is a non-union position, able to start ASAP**

**Responsibilities & Expectations to include, but are not limited to**:

- Perform the following in-process tests: %moisture, %oil, % salt, FFA of oil, finished product defect analysis.
- Check of incoming ingredient samples.
- Perform Laboratory Round checks that include but are not limited to: proper packaging & seasoning being used, code dates and printed prices, weights.
- Perform Metal Detector tests.
- Perform verification for cleanliness of production lines.
- Inform supervisor of any issue that may compromise the food safety or quality of the product in a timely manner.
- Hold non-conforming products, provide sampling results, prepare necessary records, and notify the Quality Assurance Manager of deviation.
- Document all analytical results, deviations and corrective actions in designated forms.
- Evaluate retention samples for sensory quality and product quality.
- Checks incoming packaging film and seasoning labels for correct ingredient declaration, nutritional information, and design.
- Performs other functions and duties as required.

**Job Qualifications**:
Previous experience working in any laboratory and any manufacturing environment is an asset. Good simple mathematics skills and proficient computer skills. Minimum High School Diploma or better such as College would also be an asset.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Walk and stand continuously for the full work shift is part of the job (8 hours or up to 12 hours per day when overtime is required)
- Ability to walk up stairs
- Effectively writing and communicating in English with other team members and supervisors
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work 40 hours per 5-day week and overtime during the week and on the weekend as per schedule
