**Who are we searching for?**
- **We are looking for full-time Lab Technicians who are available for both day and afternoon shift to join our busy Future Transfer team at our Warman Road location.**_
- **Job Duties**_**:

- Take samples to conduct bulk/volume measurements
- Conduct analyses of processes and finished product samples according to specified procedures
- Record, evaluate and report tested data
- Notify management of any deviations from the product specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis and determine the necessary corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Release finished product and ensure nonconforming product is not released
- Use a variety of equipment, auditing techniques, inspection and testing methods to verify the quality of the product being produced
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
- Keep laboratory environment clean and safe
- Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks are being completed
- Review and update quality control policies
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists
- Accurately document the results of inspections and testing
- Set up and use a GC/HPLC unit to provide records for specific products
- Provide AWSA and ISO program support
- Participate and manage in-house health and safety measures to comply with legislation
- Maintain material safety data sheet records on chemicals and products being used
- Additional duties as required by management
- **Required Knowledge**:_
- College Diploma or University Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry or Lab Technician Program
- 2 years required relative experience in lab/quality control environment
- Knowledge of microbiological testing with respect to Agricultural products
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good organizational and time management skills required
- Good communication skills required
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- **Working Conditions**:_
- This position is primarily performed in a busy plant facility as well as a laboratory setting
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May be required to work at various shift times
- Overtime as required
- “On Call” early weekdays/weeknights and weekends
