We are currently seeking a **Quality Assurance Technician** who is passionate about food safety and quality to join our growing team.

**Position Summary**:
The **Quality Assurance Technician** will support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems across the facility to ensure compliance with CFIA, FDA, and internal standards. You will work closely with production teams to verify GMP adherence, conduct inspections, and assist with documentation related to HACCP, PCP, and internal audits.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-process and finished product inspections in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor and verify compliance with GMPs and sanitation standards in production areas.
- Perform environmental and product sampling for microbiological analysis.
- Assist in the maintenance of QA documentation, including batch records, deviation reports, and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of Preventive Control Plans (PCP) and HACCP monitoring.
- Calibrate and maintain QA equipment (e.g., pH meters, temperature probes, ATP luminometers).
- Participate in internal audits and assist with regulatory inspections (CFIA, FDA).
- Work collaboratively with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of QA experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in dairy or plant-based foods.
- Knowledge of CFIA, FDA, HACCP, PCP, GMP, and food safety standards. Certifications in the same is an advantage.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or evenings if required.

Pay: $17.02-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
