Kitchen Line Cook

**Responsibilities**:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Report directly to Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
**Requirements**:
- 2 + years in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Passionate about Food & Beverage
- Ability to multi task and work well under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to communicate well with all staff members and management. Always guest focused and willing to continue to learn and grow within our company to help us continue to be a leader in our industry.
- Culinary school diploma an asset
We are currently looking for part
- time staff. Must be available to work various shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, weeknights, late nights and holidays.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
