**Title**: G.R.O.W. Program Facilitator

**Employment Status**: Full-Time

**Immediate Supervisor**: G.R.O.W. Program Director

***: Under the direction of the G.R.O.W Program Director the G.R.O.W. Program Facilitator, is responsible for providing all participants and staff with a safe, educational, and positive program experience. This position is responsible for providing guidance to participants through the development of their individual goals, facilitation of group and individual activities, and on-going monitoring of progress in accordance with G.R.O.W.’s policies and procedures. The G.R.O.W. Program Facilitator must demonstrate strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, inclusive language, and sensitivity to the needs of diverse participants.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Program Support
- Maintains accurate data and record keeping of the participants.
- Is responsible for the administration and record keeping of medications to the participants
- Liaises with the G.R.O.W. Program Director or delegate on a daily basis to update on program and participant progress
- Completes all assigned tasks/duties.
- Participates in all group activities.
- Implements program activities that enhance the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being of the participants.
- Assists with the programming of the special guest instructors.
- Provides day to day supervision to staff and supports as required.
- Actively promotes and markets the G.R.OW. Program.
- Participates in program evaluation.
- Facilitates group zoom sessions
**Safety and Supervision**:

- Supervises participants during group activities.
- Follows all safety procedures.
- Responds to problems and issues as they arise. Informs the G.R.O.W. Program Director if additional assistance is required.
- Identifies unusual behavior of a participant such as discomfort or anxiety and informs the G.R.O.W. Program Director.
- Ensures participants are wearing the appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and repellent for outdoor activities.
- Ensures participant’s personal needs are met.

**Participant Support**
- Maintains the participant’s dignity and confidence in dealing with situations as they arise.
- Has a good understanding of the participant’s goals and teach the goals by implementing and using the modules. Ability to adapt the material as necessary.
- Modifies goals in consultation with the G.R.OW. Program Director.
- Provides observational and hands on learning opportunities.
- Provides continuous feedback and positive reinforcement.
- Provides one-on-one supervision to assigned participant as required.
- Ensures general welfare, safety, health, and well-being for all participants.
- Provides hygiene support when necessary.
- Promotes physical and social integration by encouraging participation in activities and interaction with participants and staff.
- Maintains participant confidentiality.

**General**
- Activates the emergency injury and evacuation procedures as required.
- Completes incident/accident reports and notifies the G.R.O.W. Program Director on any issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education & Training**
- Completion of undergraduate degree and/or equivalent years of experience
- Completion of the Emergency First Aid with Basic Rescuer CPR Level C.

**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity working with the special needs population.

**Skills and Attributes**
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Able to instruct participants on program activities.
- Able and willing to participate and contribute in a team based work environment.
- Able to independently manage time and workflow.
- Ability to effectively promote and market the G.R.O.W. Programs.

**Other**
- Attendance at all staff meetings.
- Successful completion of a child abuse registry and criminal record check.
