Our client, a leading Toronto law firm, is seeking a **Litigation Legal Assistant** to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional, supportive environment with competitive compensation and strong growth potential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Draft, edit, proofread, and format litigation documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Coordinate hearings, trials, discoveries, witnesses, and court filings.
- Prepare and file basic pleadings and courtroom visuals.
- Manage client files, including opening, maintaining, and organizing large, complex files (paper and electronic).
- Track deadlines, maintain calendars, and coordinate meetings.
- Assist with lawyer travel arrangements, expense reporting, and client communications.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, calls, and messages with professionalism.
- Support billing, time entry, and new matter openings (KYC).
- Collaborate with internal resource groups (clerks, billing, records management).
- Provide backup coverage and contribute positively to team goals.

**Requirements**:

- Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a **Litigation Legal Assistant**.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
- Exceptional proofreading, editing, and formatting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure.
- Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
