We are seeking a superstar civil litigation lawyer, preferably with 3+ years of experience, to provide excellent customer service to our clients and independently carry their own case load.

Powell Litigation is a boutique litigation firm that assists individuals and small to medium-sized businesses with a host of interesting litigation matters, including real estate disputes, business disputes, defamation, and debt collection.

**What We Are Looking For**

We are looking to hire the right person, not the right qualifications.

The right person will be a “lifelong learner” - the sort of person who is always looking to grow.

Most importantly, they will be a hard worker, a great writer, and the sort of self-starter that doesn’t require supervision to do a great job.

If we had to tell you who we are looking for, we would say we’re looking for Laura 2.0.

Laura was Powell Litigation’s first hire, a freshly graduated law clerk from Cambridge, Ontario.

Before leaving Powell Litigation to live abroad, Laura commuted from Cambridge every day to our office in Toronto. Despite this hour and a half commute, she was never late. Not once. In fact, she was usually early so she could hit the ground running.

When no one else was around, rather than looking at Instagram, she took the initiative and did her work. She's driven and requires no supervision. She’s a friendly person who takes great pride in her work and supported Powell Litigation’s vision of becoming the best litigation boutique in Toronto. She’s also a damn good writer.

**What Your Day to Day Would Look Like**

You would be fully responsible for the day-to-day carriage of litigation files ranging from real estate litigation to commercial litigation to defamation.

With the assistance of a law clerk, you would be responsible for ensuring that clients are never in the dark about their case and that all steps that can be done on a file are done on a timely basis.

You will be part of a tightknit team of exceptional lawyers and support staff, where you will have autonomy over your files, be given opportunities to develop mastery in the field, and enjoy a strong sense of purpose in your work.

**How to Apply**

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
