Welcome to Coppa Inc A growing, family owned and operated frozen foods manufacturer with over 20 years of growth and development making authentic Gelato, Sorbet and Ice Cream. We are looking to invite the next leadership role as the Business Development Manager to further expand new business opportunities and demonstrate expertise in sales leadership and building robust customer relations.

**Job Summary**

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Business Development Manager oversees all aspects of sales, account management, Coppa brand & product line growth, and B2B relationships with the objective of increasing sales volumes and new business development with provincial and national accounts.

**Responsibilities**

Further developing and leading a successful high-growth, high-performing sales team with the following parameters:

- Team structure
- Strategy
- Metrics
- Channels
- Targets
- Budgets that will produce predictable and scalable annual revenue aligned with Coppa Inc’s goals.

Recruit, coach, train and oversee the sales team with guidance and support using in-house data and market research/trends. Work to create a win-win approach and build team’s capacity.

Create forecasts and KPI reporting for the leadership team, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning sessions.

Lead the preparation and management of departmental expenses and related budgeting.

Performs as both a leader and an individual contributor - sells the product while scaling the team’s results

Develop and manage the processes, metrics, and best practices that yield a high-performance sales team

Know the product line(s) inside and out and personally close deals

Builds pipeline of direct opportunities

Oversees/monitor opportunities end-to-end, from lead generation to close

Works collaboratively across teams - including Inventory, Finance, Operations, Warehouse, Marketing, and Research and Development.

Identifies, prepares, communicates, and monitors sales targets and product promotions to ensure revenue and profit targets.

**Skills / Abilities**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent: preferably in Business, Sales, or Marketing
- Bilingualism: ability to speak, read, and write in English and French an asset
- Proficient in MacOS, Windows, Office Suits, Google Suits
- Proficient understanding of frozen food end-to-end supply chain
- Extensive knowledge of B2B sales with expertise in Food Service, Independent retailers, and Corporate Grocery Banners
- Outstanding coach with leadership skills; able to influence positive change
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
- Self-starter - will formulate strategies and find opportunities independently
- Expert in identifying and developing customer value - translating functionality into value propositions and positive business outcomes for customers
- Ability to work across the company and offer reasonable solutions
- Proven financial and business acumen
- Excellent written, oral, and media communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to develop collaborative relationships
- Effective problem solver, with keen ability to think creatively and implement solutions with win-win outcomes
