**Fire & Emergency Services Clerk**(Permanent Part-Time)**

Applications are invited for the permanent part-time position of Fire & Emergency Services Clerk in the Fire and Emergency Services department. Under the direction of the Fire Chief, the Clerk prioritizes and performs a number of administrative tasks to achieve outcomes required by the departmental management team as well as provides support for the Administrative Assistant and other staff members.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 Diploma
- Two years’ progressive relevant experience in an office environment, experience with payroll will be considered an asset
- Ability to respond to a fast-paced changing environment
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional planning, organizing and time management
- Ability to de-escalate and deal tactfully with the public and City staff
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Thorough understanding, including detailed functional knowledge, of technology and programs such as:

- Microsoft Office
- Records Management
- Relevant financial/information systems
- Knowledge of these software packages is an asset
- Website content management software
- Crisys software
- Payroll/Financial software

**Hours of Work: Tuesday to Thursday, 9 am to 2 pm - 15 hours per week; plus**Vacation Coverage as required (up to 37.5 hours per week)**

**Rate of Pay: $29.45 per hour**
