Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with project managers and architects, engineers to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare accurate take offs
- Utilize project management software to create detailed estimates
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements
- Research and gather information on materials, labor costs, and equipment needed for each project
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present them to clients
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure accurate pricing throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in construction materials and methods

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
- Proficiency project management
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Proficient in using software tools like Bluebeam for document management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors

**Requirements**:
MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 years experience in this field working in Ontario. Must be fluent in English. Remote work is possible at times. Reliable transportation. this is a non smoking environment work place.
