**Junior Estimator - Landscape Construction**

Salary is based on Experience.

Life Landscaping Inc. is a full-service Commercial Landscaping Company, providing high quality landscaping installations.

We are currently seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing organization located in Concord, Ontario.

**Office hours are from 8:00-8:30am to 5:00-5:30pm, however, longer hours may be required based on business needs.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and analyze drawings, documents
- Understand scope of work to bid
- Complete quantity take-offs using onscreen take-off program (from blueprints)
- Complete Area and volume calculations.
- Prepare job pricing sheets and obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors & review that it is as required and specified.
- Send out RFI’s (Request for Information) when needed.
- Prepare quote form for submittal based on pricing sheet
- Review prepared pricing sheet and quote with Senior Estimator or Director for finalization
- Make site visits if required
- Follow-up with clients after quote submittals
- Attend Client meetings when necessary
- Additional tasks as required
- Review and coordinate estimate with Project Manager for awarded jobs.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Technician or a combination of education and industry experience is considered an asset
- Understanding of grading/elevations
- Strong ability to read and interpret Blue Prints and CAD drawings (Landscape, Civil, Structural, Architectural).
- Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Experience using on-screen take-off programs, (i.e. PlanSwift) or possess a strong desire to learn
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel especially
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong time management skills
- Strong Mathematical Skills (knowledge in conversions calculations for area, linear, and volumes)
