**THE ROLE**
Offer expertise in management, operational and hospitality services as part of the team that oversees military messes throughout Canada and the world. The military mess is the centre of social life for serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, where customs, responsibilities and social standards are practiced. Messes are steeped in rich military heritage and tradition. The mess includes food as a central component of events and camaraderie. Personnel Support Program (PSP) Hospitality Services and management are pinnacle to their success.

Under the direction of the Mess Manager, the mess clerk provides administrative support, such as research, data entry and compilation, record keeping, creating presentations and reports, photocopying, correspondence, mass mailing distribution and follow-up action. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for ensuring forms with respect to membership in/out clearance are completed and processed. They will order and distribute posting/release gifts for the membership. The mess clerk will also take reservations and collect payment for entertainment functions.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma and several years of experience in administration or in a related field.

College diploma or certificate in office administration, business administration or accounting an asset.

Smart Serve required.

Some bar experience an asset
