We are a busy family practice located in central Coquitlam and we are looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our team who is compassionate, self-directed, and detail-oriented. You will be responsible for all aspects of the daily functioning of a busy office for four physicians, four nurse practitioners and a part-time internal medicine specialist.

**Qualifications**:
Previous experience as an MOA in a medical office is a must
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program is an asset, but not required with the right experience
Previous experience with OSCAR electronic medical record system is an asset

**Duties (**_include, but not limited to_**)**:
Dealing with patients when checking in, confirming/updating their contact information, scheduling appointments, and answering questions they may have
Processing mail, scans, and faxes
Processing EMR messages
Answering the phone
Cleaning exam rooms and preparing or stocking rooms with the necessary supplies or when needed
Bringing patients into the exam rooms
Processing medical equipment when patients' vitals are needed (height/length, weight, BP, urinalysis, etc.)
Calling patients to book appointments

Your duties would be specific to the position you are working for that particular day.

**IMPORTANT**:
You need to be fully vaccinated.

This is a full time position for maternity leave coverage, but there is a chance for this to convert to a permanent position.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks, plexiglass barriers, limit on patients in the waiting room, screening patients on the phone as well as when they are in the office, hand sanitizer, thorough wipe down of exam rooms/areas used
