Aurora, Canada Summit Veterinary Pharmacy Full time

Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is seeking one full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our busy Accounting Department team.

Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Our mission is to set the standard for excellence in veterinary compounding; enabling veterinarians to fulfill their commitment to their clients' health and well-being.

**Principle Responsibilities**:

- Administer accounts payable for associated companies
- Reconcile purchase orders to vendor invoices
- Review purchase orders for proper expense or capitalization posting
- Control and issue payments
- Occasionally assist with bilingual (EN/FR) accounts receivable duties where necessary
- Other duties may include reporting of loans and lease balances
- Bank reconciliations
- GL journal entries
- Prepare month end payable accruals
- Perform other account analysis and cross-functional duties as needed

**Preferred Skills**:

- Exceptional organization skills and ability to multitask
- French/English language skills preferred
- Computer literacy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Customer service/telephone etiquette
- Great initiative and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group
- Meticulous - willing to learn and work in a constantly changing environment
- Be punctual and maintain a good attendance record

**Educational Requirements, courses of study, licenses etc.**:

- Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent
- Vocational school or some college -Accounting Diploma (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Associates degree, Trade or Technical School Diploma

**Hours of Work**:

- Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
- May be required to work additional hours
