**Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist (Part-Time)**

**Location**: Highland Park Animal Clinic

**Hours**: 20-25 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday)

**Start Date**: December 3, 2024

**About Us**:Highland Park Animal Clinic is a small but mighty team, dedicated to providing compassionate care to our patients and excellent service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a **Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist** to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. This position is perfect for someone who loves working with animals, providing client education, and supporting a busy clinic. You’ll be responsible for assisting with medical procedures, maintaining the clinic’s cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Veterinary Assistant Duties**:

- Feed animals and monitor their eating habits.
- Assist with lab work
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain examination rooms, operating rooms, surgical equipment, cages, and kennels.
- Assist with restraining and comforting animals during procedures
- Admit and discharge patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both animals and their owners.

**Receptionist Duties**:

- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
- Greet clients, check in patients, and provide excellent customer service.
- Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for clients and patients.
- Assist with filing and other administrative tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with a love for animals and people.
- Flexibility to handle both Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist duties as needed.
