A well-established small animal practice in Auburn Bay, Southeast Calgary, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This position is perfect for individuals with some experience in the veterinary field who are eager to expand their knowledge and contribute to a progressive practice.

Desired Attributes and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience
  • Organized, calm under pressure, and focused on providing excellent customer service
  • Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
  • Comfortable answering phone calls and booking appointments
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in animal restraint for veterinarians and technicians
  • Strong understanding of hygiene standards in a veterinary setting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Resourceful and proactive when dealing with client inquiries
  • Kennel care experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in veterinary care and/or animal handling is an asset
  • Proximity to Auburn Bay, Calgary, is preferred

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
