- **Modified Work Schedule: This position involves working days: Monday to Friday as well as on-call and some weekends as needed. **_
- **Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 depending on experience **_

**Provide strong leadership and ensure administrative compliance by**:

- Train, measure and correct all direct reports to ensure high quality job performance
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, annual performance reviews with the assistance of Human Resources Manager, when necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and all personnel.
- Build and maintain a positive work environment where team members and their contributions are recognized and valued.
- Ensure all personnel are provided a copy of all company policies and procedures pertaining to their job function and uphold compliance.
- Monitor driver’s hours to ensure they are compliant with the ministry and free from violations.
- Direct daily work activity and priorities for the dispatch team.
- Ensure dispatch staff are doing their jobs correctly, thoroughly, with clear expectations and goals.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
- Delegate responsibility, expect accountability and regular feedback.
- Regularly liaise with Driver Supervisor to address driver related needs, issues, or concerns.

**Oversee and enforce the health and safety of staff and the building by;**
- Enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and the facility to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Ensure building inspections are completed and submitted monthly.
- Ensure staff have been trained on Slingshot Transportation Inc, health, and safety manual.
- Ensure accurate and swift reporting of all accidents and incidents per procedures

**Ensure customer satisfaction and ensure on time performance are met by**:

- Orders are completed accurately from pick up through to delivery including updating customers or other internal staff as required
- Effective and timely communication with customers as per policies and procedures
- Ensure the tracking and tracing of all drivers frequently and provide updates to customers as required.
- In the event of an emergency coordinate back-up drivers and/or plans to maintain on time performance
- Monitor any sudden route changes, weather conditions or road construction issues and work with dispatchers to establish new routes or alternative arrangements for on time service
- Notify authorities and complete appropriate internal reporting for vehicle accidents.
- Evaluate driver and equipment resources to ensure load volume can be completed to company standards
- Communicate equipment needs to Equipment Supervisor and General Manager to be assessed and addressed as needed.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Milton 3PL department to ensure maximum efficiency and efforts to cover all customer loads.
- Ensure all equipment issues, problems or required repairs are accurately and swiftly communicated to equipment and/or safety and compliance.
- Regularly liaise with Equipment Supervisor to ensure all equipment and yard are properly maintained.
- Complete thorough investigations for all service failures and take corrective action.
- Liaise with Safety & Compliance department on Hours-of-Service concerns and other driver related matters.

**Other Duties**:

- Perform emergency dispatch duties during high volume call times and staffing shortages.
- Performing other duties as assigned from time to time by General Management.
- Follow and enforce all procedures including Progressive Discipline for staff as required.
- Contribute to all improvements i.e., processes, procedures, and policies.
- Support administrative functions related to dispatch as needed
- Assist Operations with resolution of issues with the yard, i.e., scheduling additional drivers to allow for grading of the yard
- Support driver recruiting by communicating needs to human resources, completing prescreening, interviews and orientations as needed
- Ensure all reports and documents are completed accurately and communicated as per procedures.

**Knowledge**
- At least 10 years in Senior Management role within an Asset Trucki
