**Logistics Coordinator**
Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, this position is a part of a small but mighty team that plans, optimizes, schedules, routes and tracks drivers for pickups and deliveries to customers and vendors. It is a critical driver of the on-time delivery and customer fulfillment metrics.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns and liaise with both internal and external clients/vendors to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedural compliant manner
- Monitor drivers’ hours of service, availability of equipment as well as fleet movement and operations
- Process orders & implement order management
- Prepare daily reports using Excel, administer after hour customer service requests, sign off on Driver Transportation Security Sheets, and support compliance or Incident Investigations
- Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedural compliant manner
- Communicate openly within the team
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner; and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of improved department-specific processes, policies, and procedures
**Qualifications**:
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent is an asset
- Certification or designation in Supply Chain Management (i.e. CSCMP) is an asset
- Minimum 3 years experience in logistics and/or dispatching
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in managing drivers with strong GTA routing experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Strong planning skills with an excellent ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- SAP or any transportation management software
**Environment/Physical Demands**:
- Normal office environment; visits to production areas require proper PPE and safety precautions
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
