Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is looking for a **Line Cook**to join our kitchen team.

**As a Line Cook, you will**:
**Provide day-to-day kitchen operations**: Prepare and cook food in a manner that will ensure a quality appearance and taste, as well as prepare meals as promptly as possible. While consistently maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen at all times.

**Be a problem solver**. Tackle situations using your analytical ability and critical thinking skills. Be empowered to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision using your strong organizational and time management skills.

**Contribute to authentic team connections**. Develop, maintain and enhance positive relations with all customers and team members.

Other duties as assigned.

**What we need from you**:

- Have one (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
- High School Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
- Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- WHMIS food safe certificate (can be completed upon hire through Century Casinos).
- Journeyman cook certificate or equivalent, when required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check.

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift from 8:00AM - 4:30PM
- Holiday availability required
- Weekend availability required
