**CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Research Associate to join the Care4Rare team.**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Engage with multiple national networks and partner types (patients, healthcare professionals, academics, policy-makers, decision-makers);
- Perform horizon scans and knowledge syntheses;
- Gather and develop resources;
- Develop and perform qualitative and quantitative studies;
- Write and copy-proof reports and manuscripts;
- Coordinate, facilitate, and contribute to clinical working groups for clinical guidance document development.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- M.Sc. in Genetic Counselling or other relevant academic field (Essential)
- CBGC/ABGC Certification or eligibility (preferred)
- Outstanding organizational, time, and project management skills (Essential)
- Evidence of attention to detail and flexibility with respect to managing multiple priorities (Essential)
- Strong sense of initiative and leadership within a team setting (Essential)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Previous work experience in a research setting (preferred)
- High level of competency in various computer software and programs (Essential)
- Ability to ensure timely completion of tasks by adjusting priorities as required (Essential)
- Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing (Essential)
- Bilingualism (Eng/Fr) (preferred)

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Able to work in a dynamic, often hectic environment and balance competing priorities
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid work model, which would include remote and on-site work.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- Compliance with CHEO RI’s Universal COVID-19 Vaccination Policy; and
- Police Record Check.
