Associate Vice-president, Research Partnerships

Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Research Partnerships, the Associate Vice President, Research Partnerships will be responsible for a granting budget of $360M, a team of 4 executives as direct reports, and approximately 120 staff. The AVP, Research Partnerships will lead all aspects of the development, delivery, monitoring, assessment of the Research Partnerships funding opportunities. They will identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize the efficiency, effectiveness, and relevance of operational policies, processes, and systems that support program funding. The AVP will support the VP in forging key relationships with universities, colleges, not-for-profits, governments, and industry. They will also work closely with other federal agencies, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Collaborative by nature, the AVP will coach, mentor, and develop the team championing an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture.
