As an HR Generalist at our fabrication shops in St. Catherines (2 sites) and Welland, Ontario, you will be a great asset to our team. This is a full-time on-site position which requires strong organizational, interpersonal, detail-oriented skills and someone who is well versed in administrative work.

**What we’ll love about you**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive HR experience
- Familiar with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and data management
- Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments.
- A high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to three sites required

**What you’ll work on**:
As the HR Generalist, you will serve as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and ensure smooth and efficient HR operations. Along with supporting various HR functions and activities within the organization. This position provides operational assistance to the HR team, facilitates employee onboarding and offboarding processes, maintains HR records and databases, and supports HR projects and initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Efficiently coordinate and administer the onboarding process for new hires, overseeing pre-employment activities, orientation programs, and completion of required documentation, while conducting employee orientations and ensuring the provision of necessary information and resources to new hires.
- Prepare various types of employment letters i.e.: promotions, salary changes, employment confirmation, title changes etc.
- Assist with the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and facilitating the return of company property.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, benefits enrollment, performance evaluations, and training records.
- Support employee engagement activities
- Assist in resolving employee inquiries, issues, and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
