Based out of our global headquarters in Montreal, the Logistics Manager will be at the very heart of customer-focused growth and innovation. The Logistics manager will join our senior leadership team and have the opportunity and responsibility to inspire their team and together, evolve the Air Imports department to better meet the future needs of our clientele.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

Your sense of urgency, mission mindset, attention to detail and strategic planning skills will be crucial in ensuring that your department meet the needs of our customers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

A logistics manager is responsible for a department that plans and supervises air shipments, schedules routes, tracks orders, ensures proper storage and distribution of products and looks after accurate cost and revenue controls. They monitor transportation costs, maintain records, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. You will manage all air import freight operations including policies, procedures, objectives, and performance. The department manager also collaborates with the leadership team to develop and set the vision for the department’s direction.

- Provide leadership to their team.
- Plan and supervise shipments.
- Research and implement value-driven and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Monitor and report on performance.
- Organize training and development for team members.
- Keep organized records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with customers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Look after the continuous improvement of the department's operations.
- Promote OEC’s corporate culture and customer service philosophy.
- Build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, Shipping Manager, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of transport activities, in particular airfreight.
- Ability to supervise and develop a team..
- Thorough knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong business development and account management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- A BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics or a relevant field is a plus.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
