**Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Pastry Chef to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in crafting a wide array of mouthwatering desserts and pastries. Your creative flair in developing unique tastes and recipes will be essential in delighting our customers and elevating their dining experience. The main responsibilities of a Pastry Chef include producing high volumes of products, coming up with new pastry ideas, and decorating cakes professionally and creatively.
**Duties**
- Prepare and present a variety of desserts and pastries, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Innovate and create unique recipes to keep our dessert offerings fresh and exciting.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and high-quality service.
- Uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence in every dish.
- Production Management: Oversee the daily production of all pastries and baked goods, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Development: Create seasonal and special menus to delight customers.
- Monitor portion control, and waste to maintain profitability while delivering top-quality products.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and inspire the pastry kitchen team to achieve operational excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to maintain the highest standards in taste, texture, and presentation. Inventory and Supply: Manage ingredient sourcing, supplier relationships, and inventory control to ensure seamless production.
- Compliance and Hygiene: Ensure the central kitchen adheres to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Menu Development: Develop and implement creative ideas for seasonal menu items. create new recipes.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef.
- Expertise in recipe development, menu innovation, and pastry production.
- Strong understanding of food cost management and operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional pastries.
- Strong skills in cake decorating and pastry preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing desserts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Dough Sheeting operation minimum 2 years
- This is not an entry-level position. A minimum of 5 years of prior experience as a Pastry Chef is required.
Salary
From $25-$28 per hour.
