At Metalex, we design, manufacture, and build innovative metal building systems for industries ranging from oil & gas to agriculture and commercial construction. With a unique advantage as both manufacturer and builder, we’re growing and looking for a Project Manager who can lead projects from concept to completion while contributing to winning more work through strong estimating expertise.

This is a client-facing, leadership-visible role where you’ll oversee multiple projects, manage profitability, and help shape how Metalex delivers excellence to every customer.

The Opportunity
- Lead Projects End-to-End: Manage all aspects of post-sale project execution—including design, manufacturing, and installation—to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Client Relationship Management: Be the primary contact for clients, ensuring communication is clear, needs are understood, and expectations are exceeded
- Contribute to Estimating: Work with the estimating team to review and prepare accurate project estimates, ensuring bids are competitive and profitable
- Coordinate Teams: Oversee scheduling and workload allocation with internal designers, shop teams, field crews, and third-party vendors
- Financial Oversight: Track job costs, complete change orders, and perform post-job profitability analyses to drive continuous improvement
- Process Improvement: Help develop and refine project management procedures to enhance quality control, reduce risks, and improve efficiency

What You’ll Bring
- Estimating experience, particularly in self-framing metal buildings, foam panel solutions, or similar industrial projects (preferred)
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction, steel fabrication, or metal building manufacturing
- Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high client satisfaction
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, reading blueprints, and interpreting technical data
- Proficiency in project management software, Excel, and estimating tools (ERP experience an asset)
- Basic accounting skills and comfort managing budgets and profitability analyses
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence decision-making and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams
- Organized, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Education
- Technical diploma, engineering degree, in structural or mechanical discipline
- PMP an asset
