Picker Truck Operator

As a Journeyman Heavy-Boom/Picker Truck Operator at Heartland Industries, you will play a crucial role in operating heavy boom trucks and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient and safe project completion. This position requires strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to work in various environments across Central Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy boom trucks of varying sizes
- Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Ensure consistent communication with the office to maintain project efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects effectively
Reporting To: Manager
Travel: Primarily within Central Alberta
Work Hours: Full Time
Required Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Boom Truck Certification
- H2S & First Aid Certification
- Education: Journeyman Certification
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit; this role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience
- Strong soft skills: Work Ethic, Accountability, Communication, Attention to Detail, Time Management, Teamwork
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
