This position is responsible for (ship, receive and record the movement of) the timely, efficient and well organized preparation and handling of all incoming and outgoing parts, supplies, materials, equipment and product.

This position is also required to understand product categories; Custom, OEM and Standard.

Support amazing experience of communication, continuous knowledge shared, use internal resources as a team player to meet manufacturing goals and deadlines with a high level of confidentiality and quality.

This position includes responsibility for supervision of the shipping and receiving department and associated performance management of any general labour reporting to and interacts with the Materials Manager, to update, seek guidance and obtain necessary approvals.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, employees are also expected to complete other duties as required. All employees are expected to have familiarized themselves with the Health & Safety and Human Resources manuals, work in conjunction with all policies and procedures at Daltec, complete work as assigned to the best of your abilities, including their responsibilities as outlined below.

Key Position Responsibilities and Duties - will include, but not be limited to:
**Operations**
- Safely operates all related equipment and vehicles to ensure efficient and on-time loading and unloading of delivery or pick-up trucks.
- Verify completed product for quality and accuracy upon arrival and prior to shipping.
- Photograph packaged and loaded product prior to leaving the Plant.
- Maintain quality service by the following organization standards
- Create and maintain a set of standards for shipping

**Health and Safety**
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Follow all job specific processes and safety policies at all times.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
- Report any accidents, injuries or unsafe working conditions to Management immediately.

**Other Duties**
- Responsible to empty Scrap Bins as required.
- Maintenance and safety checks for forklifts

**Qualifications**:
Education
- Successful completion of secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent.
- Must have valid Driver’s license and meet DCBM’s insurable standards and vehicle policy
- Successful completion of forklift training which meets current legislative requirements.
- Successful completion of overhead crane training which meets current legislative requirements.

**Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Knowledge in heavy rigging and lifting of goods for shipments
- Knowledge in organizational skills.
- Knowledge in transportation size and weight limits
- Knowledge in getting quotes and booking transport trucks for all size shipments
- Knowledge in Export ISPM-15 rules and regulations
- Knowledge in Export Canada
- Knowledge in Export documentation CERS, Certificate of Origins,
- Knowledge in using multiple customer portals to create shipping requests and documents
- Knowledge in creating custom packing lists and labels to identify shipments that are knocked down for shipment
- Ability to build crates ,skids and protect goods properly for shipping
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Above average computer and data entry skills
- Pleasant and professional telephone manner.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in the accumulation and transfer of information.
- Must be able to manage frequent interruptions and multiple tasks daily.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as collaborates within an active team.

**Working Conditions**
- Works in a production environment where health and safety hazards and risk of injury are always present (temperature, noise, chemicals, machinery, moving vehicles).
- Usually works a standard forty to forty-four hour work week.
- May be required to work some overtime hours to meet production obligations during specific periods of the business cycle, tight deadlines and stressful conditions at times.
- Must be able to manage frequent interruptions and multiple tasks daily.
- May deal with conflict and employee relations issues causing stress at times.
- Attention to detail and visual concentration required which may cause mental and physical strain.
- Spends a frequent amount of time standing and walking daily.
- Must be able to kneel, bend at the waist and reach or push from the shoulders frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
