Shipping Coordinator

Stance Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Shipping Coordinator at our Kitchener facility.
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you are an integral member of Stance’s Shipping department, primarily responsible for planning and improving shipment plans and communication.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Arrange loads and coordinate transportation with outside carriers
- Call customers and arrange deliveries per customer requirements
- Communicate customer priorities with internal stakeholders, such as the Production Manager, Lead Hands, Customer Service and Scheduling
- Determine loading priorities and provide instruction to shipping team
- Ensure transportation resources (drivers, tractors, trailers etc.) are utilized efficiently to minimize delivery costs and adhere to customer delivery requirements
- Prepare and process custom documents for inbound, outbound, and international shipments
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and processes on all North American and offshore import and export transactions
- Process and file shipping order documents, as needed
- Actively participate in improving shipping processes, and OTIF (On-time, In-Full) metrics
- Participate in daily and weekly meetings regarding the coordination of material activities for existing and new customer orders
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers for vendor drop offs and pick ups
- Actively participate in production meetings, as required, and other necessary communications to update shipment plan and make necessary changes to delivery arrangements
- Work across all functions and departments in order to achieve optimal process efficiencies
- Follow all processes to properly update data in computer systems, as required
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related discipline
- 3+ years of related working experience, manufacturing or distribution considered an asset
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of supply chain management, preferably with overseas experience
- A practical approach to problem solving
- A proven ability to identify and correct errors
- Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel
- Capable of meeting deadlines under pressure
- Experience with Harmonized System (HS) and National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFC) classification codes
- A high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of North American geography
- Previous experience with an ERP system, CSI/Infor Syteline considered an asset
- Experience working in the transportation industry considered an asset

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
