**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Social Services, this position is responsible for providing administrative and program support to the Social and Community Services Department. The role is responsible for maintaining client relations through the Tier Two in person customer service counter at Halton Regional Center.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provides support to all Social and Community Services (SCS) clients at the Tier two in-person customer service counter.
- Tracks customer inquiries at the Tier two in-person customer service counter and prepares monthly reports and annual summary reports for management
- Responsible for the organization and general tidiness of the Tier two area.
- Provides administrative support to Social and Community Services staff, management and clients.
- Develops and maintains relationships with third party vendors, funders, employers and community agencies to arrange for necessary service and program supports.
- Liaises with internal staff and external stakeholders to create and arrange administrative processes to support work across the Social and Community Services Department.
- Creates, monitors, and adapts tracking devices for the purpose of maintaining accountability with respect to Ministry outcomes/expectations, purchase of service/funder agreements and other program requirements.
- Compiles statistics and related reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- College Diploma with additional training in business/office software. A combination of relevant experience and equivalent education will also be considered.
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience in a human/social services environment or related field.
- Excellent written and communication skills and superior interpersonal skills that include listening and problem solving with proven ability to maintain positive, professional working relationships with team members and internal/external stakeholders.
- Excellent administrative, time management, organization/ planning and self-management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), Social Assistance Management System (SAMS), Ontario Child Care Management System (OCCMS), YARDI Voyager, as well as, local community resources, employment, mental health, children’s, housing and social services programs would be an asset.

- Travel may be required in Halton Region. Incumbent must provide their own transportation.
- The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all Social and Community Services clients at the in-person Tier two customer service counter.
- The incumbent will be required to work in-person at Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Monday through Friday.
