**Salary**: $98,480.20 to $113,185.80 annually
**Description of Job**:
1 Permanent Full Time Position (non-union) As Program Manager, the incumbent will be Working mostly within the Infectious and Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control, and Sexual Health programs and will be responsible for the effective leadership, management and supervision of service delivery provided to the public in accordance with the provincial legislation and the Eastern Ontario Health Unit policies. As a member of the middle management team, the Program manager will contribute to the excellence in the leadership of the organization and participates with other managers and directors in the planning and decision processes aiming at enhancing the delivery of services provided. The Program Manager will contribute to the integration of professional practice, education and research to promote evidence-based programs and services and quality health outcomes. *This position has an on-call component that requires evening hours and weekend work **Program assignment can be modified based on operational needs.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree at the Bachelor’s level in nursing.
- Master’s degree in public health (MPH) or related discipline considered an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in public health or related field, with progressive supervisory and administrative responsibility, experience in community partnerships, education and/or in applied community research, planning and evaluation.
- Experience in infectious diseases preferred.
- Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) Designation is considered an asset.
- Good knowledge and demonstrated abilities in the areas of needs assessments, program planning, research, evaluation, community health, population health, public health and education.
- Strong fundamental program/technical specific content knowledge with a demonstrated ability and commitment to acquire advanced content knowledge.
- Knowledge of Ontario Public Health Standards.
- Knowledge of administration, leadership, management and supervisory roles.
- Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Evidence of project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, set timeframes, organize resources and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, interdependently and as an integral team member.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and lifelong learning.
- Excellent inter-professional and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Good communication skills in both official languages.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile
