**KEY RESPONSIBILITES**
- Installation of structured cabling systems, pulling, terminating and testing copper and fiber cabling as per specifications and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and test various network and connectivity related issues.
- Installation of network equipment and LAN room buildouts.
- Installation of cable support systems i.e. cable tray, conduit, and J-hooks.
- Site surveys to determine project requirements.
- Design and install cable pathway and support systems i.e. cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, conduit.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- 5 plus years of experience required
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical drawings with the ability to carry out the scope of work and provide the required deliverables and documentation.
- Must be able to install, terminate, troubleshoot, and test all types of low voltage copper cabling.
- Must be able to install, terminate, troubleshoot, and test fiber optic cabling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following company policies and safety procedures.
- Project planning - ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Excellent customer communication and service skills.
- Must have a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft and computers.
- Open availability to work non-traditional hours including emergency service calls on short notice, weekend and after hours work as required
- Availability for occasional multi-night travel for out of town work.
- Must have a clean valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass an RCMP background check.
- Belden, Panduit, AMP, certification is a plus.
- Conduit experience is a plus.

**Vaccination Policy**

The health and safety of our employees is a RYCOM priority. Since this is a client serving role, travelling to various sites, all Technicians will be required to be fully vaccinated. Medical exemptions may be accommodated upon request.
