**Position Summary**:
**PROJECT BACKGROUND**
The First Nations Regional Health Survey is a multi-year, province-wide data collection initiative and the only First Nations-led and governed survey of its kind in Canada.

The Knowledge Exchange Project Coordinator is responsible for a variety of activities in support of knowledge exchange, information dissemination, and education for communities, health system service providers, program and policy decision makers, and researchers related to the First Nations Regional Health Survey project. The position acts as a project coordinator for the implementation and evaluation of knowledge exchange activities for RHS (Phase 3) and leads the development of a knowledge exchange plan for RHS Phase 4. The position forms a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
**As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. **Responsibilities**:
- Assists Project Leads with the development and management of project plans and compiles information for the development of schedules and timelines, including tracking and monitoring the progress of project deliverables against milestones and the schedules, and prepares appropriate reports for management.
- Ensures implementation of project and project-related activities aligns with direction from Project Leads.
- Reports regularly on project resources and funds and ensures project activities conducted are within budget and according to established project timelines.
- Translates analyzed RHS data into a diverse range of audience-friendly knowledge exchange products with a particular emphasis on promoting Indigenous knowledge & perspectives.
- Responds to issues, processes, and distills information from a range of sources, evaluates implications, and analyzes gaps, to provide recommendations in reports, briefings, and presentations.
- Actively engages in developing KE plans for RHS4; implements the plan, monitors the progress, reports deviation, and recommends corrective actions to the Manager.
- Works cross departmentally in FNHA, specifically with the Communications and Engagement teams to develop and actualize streamlined knowledge exchange among a diverse range of stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
Education
- University degree in health sciences or other appropriate field, Master’s degree preferred, with at least three years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of recent and relevant experience working in a health services research environment or appropriate combination of education and experience
- Experience in project management including budgeting, planning and coordination
- Experience in community engagement
- Demonstrable project management skills in leading and/or supporting data-related projects
- Experience working with First Nations Peoples
- Experience with research involving Indigenous communities in a culturally safe manner
- Experience with knowledge translation and presentation to communities, clinicians, researchers, and decision-makers is highly desirable
**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:
- Knowledge of BC First Nations communities, their health governance models and issues facing them relative to health and wellness.
- Knowledge of cultural safety and humility.
- Knowledge of social and Indigenous determinants of health in Canada.
- Knowledge of OCAP® principles.
- Understanding of knowledge exchange conceptual models, frameworks, and strategies considered an asset.
