Jadee Meat Products is located in Beamsville, Ontario and is an established and growing food processing company. Our quality assurance department is actively seeking an honest, energetic and hard working individual to fill the full-time role of Quality Assurance Manager.
- Manage and provide leadership to the plant’s current Technical Services Manager, QA co-ordinator and Sanitation Manager and any other QA staff.
- Maintain BRC program/Accreditation.
- Ensure all personnel are well trained and effective in achieving a superior quality assurance program.
- Maintain and continually improve upon QA program to ensure product quality, safety and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure procedures are effective to optimize food safety, product quality, and product shelf life.
- Stay up to date on any new process or ingredients that may improve product quality and or shelf life or cost savings.
- Ensure operational groups are informed of their departmental QA responsibilities and accountability.
- Act as the primary in-plant contact for customers, CFIA inspectors and Third Party Auditors.
- Continuously evaluate the QA program for process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with operation group to review quality assurance data and help drive initiatives to maximize efficiencies.
- Ensure appropriate product holds and dispositions.
- Investigate and resolve root cause of customer and consumer complaints.
- Support GFSI and HACCP food safety teams to ensure maintenance of the HACCP program.
- Foster and support a cooperative relationship with the CFIA.
- Stay up to date on any new CFIA, HACCP or BRC requirements.
- Manage the plants QA budget.
- Oversee and designate where cost savings achievable, third party QA related entities such as third party auditors, CFIA accredited labs etc.

**Qualifications**
- University degree in Food Science or related discipline.
- 5-10 years in the food industry ideally including technical, quality assurance and food safety
- Must have working knowledge of GFSI Food Safety standards (SQF or BRC).
- Working knowledge of HACCP programs, and applicable Meat Regulations (MPIP, MOP, FDA).
- Proven Managerial Leadership, and a team motivator.
- Detail conscious with excellent organizational skills.
- Must perform with mínimal supervision.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
