**Role Responsibilities**:
The Divisional Coordination and Issues Manager is responsible for the operational activities within the Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office (ADMO) and for providing strategic and issues management support. This position plays a critical role in establishing, implementing and monitoring effective communications and information management processes to ensure the Assistant Deputy Minister is briefed on emerging issues and that pertinent information is communicated to the Deputy Minister’s Office and divisions.
The role includes a strong component of strategic issues management and coordination working with the Deputy Minister’s Office, Minister’s Office, and ministry ADMOs and their executive managers. This position oversees tracking and reporting of major policy initiatives and provides accurate, timely updates through a variety of reporting tools.
This position functions within the parameters of applicable Government and Ministry legislation, regulations, policies, directives and procedures.
As the Divional Coordination and Issues Manager, your main responsibilities include:
- Oversee a comprehensive system to respond to Action Requests, briefing notes and ongoing issues within the ministry.
- Compile and analyze information to provide strategic advice, direction and recommendations.
- Use your leadership and strong political acumen to guide staff in achieving goals, mandates and effective operation of the division.
- Oversee and coordinate all ministerial information and reports, while reviewing for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide oversight to budgets, approval processes and assist in executing key briefings and initiatives.
- Exercise your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze risks and come up with resolutions in a dynamic environment.
- Develop and maintain strategic and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication flow across executive offices.
- Provide leadership in managing complex projects across cross functional teams.
- Navigate a fast-paced and complex environment with agility.
- Interpret stakeholder business needs and translate them into recommendations.
- Understand governmental financial budgets and planning cycles.

University graduation in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
