- Open to participate in tractor operator training, safety rules, WHIMIS and first aid and BC Pesticide Applicators License

**Working Conditions**
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.
- During the main growing season (March-October) you may be required to work irregular hours depending on weather and operational requirements
- Being able to walk for several hours at a time and work outside in the elements (especially in the heat of summer) is essential for this position.

**Position Summary**

The assistant grower position is crucial in ensuring crop quality at Qualitree. You will work closely with growers to assist with data collection and implement crop decisions at the growers, including but not limited to irrigation, fertilization, pruning, propagation and plant relocation.

In addition, assistant growers may assist in the implementation and evaluation of research trials at Qualitree, at the discretion of their supervisor and the head of the research department.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Assist in the inspection of crops in classified growing sections
- Collect and process soil and water samples as required by the growers
- Maintain research equipment
- Assisting with irrigation decisions, programming and irrigation controls
- Collect and record necessary data, including photographs and observations of crops or trials
- Perform small scale tasks such as moving, cleaning, plant pruning
- Participate in training for weekend and holiday occupation of growers
- Contribute to a positive and productive crop team

- Weekend availability
