**Quality Assurance Representative**:
The Quality Assurance Representative is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the VSL quality management system; this includes ongoing assessment to ensure that it continues to meet the objectives of both the Seaspan Shipyards Quality Policy and Quality Management System manual and works to address identified deficiencies. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

**What you’ll do**
- Coordinates and maintains the quality management system within Victoria Shipyards by monitoring, reporting, and coordinating actions which prevent non-conformities.
- Tracks and verifies corrective actions and reports on the performance of the quality system to the Quality Manager and to the appropriate corporate group.
- Assesses non-conformances and coordinates with Shipyard personnel to accurate the process or amend procedures to accurate any non-conformity.
- Assists in maintaining the quality management system in a manner consistent with the quality management system manual and communicates the requirements and procedures to all employees.
- Conducts internal audits (e.g., Process, Subcontractor, etc.).
- Conducts quality assurance inspections and monitors performance tests, documents results, and is responsible for the preservation of data.
- Maintains Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms as well as Quality Assurance documentation and records related to specific projects.
- As advised, provides coordinating support for Shipyards core processes.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

**What you’ll bring**
- Post-secondary Diploma in Quality Management Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Internal auditing experience is an asset.
- Shipbuilding or related trades experience is an asset.
