We offer a respectful open work environment, friendly work culture, and a chance to learn, be playful and creative.Dear Grain is seeking two Full-time Junior Pastry Chef with baking experience to join our bakery.We are looking for someone caring, passionate, and dynamic who is interested in committing themselves to the craft of making sourdough pastries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Scaling Recipes
- Mixing and portioning batters, doughs, cookies, scones, loaf cakes etc
- Baking pastries, packaging wholesale orders
- Practice food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Reports to Kitchen Leader

- Kindness, thoughtfulness and a sense that the glass is always at least half full

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high volume production kitchen/food business
- Education from a recognized College/University (preferred)
- Possess basic cooking and knife handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
- Note that this position does not involve cake decorating
