**Job Summary**

Transco is aiding a prominent Canadian logistics and transportation company in their quest for a Junior Dispatcher to join our team based in Mississauga.

**Duties**
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and monitor shipments efficiently.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while managing schedules effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements, including shipping and receiving documentation.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipment tracking and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding shipment status, delays, or changes in logistics plans.
- Analyze freight data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Handle multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls from drivers and clients professionally.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations.
- Compile daily, weekly, monthly reporting as necessary
- Ensure vehicle inspection reports are precise and complete
- Utilize software such as Fleet Manager for tracking shipments and managing logistics processes.
- Assist the Dispatch Manager as needed

**Experience**
- Proficiency in transportation management systems is essential for this role.
- Experience in supply chain management or working with 3PL providers is highly desirable.
- Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Excellent phone etiquette coupled with strong communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes is a plus.
