Order Desk Clerk

**Summary**
Since 1906, Avalon Dairy has a longstanding history and commitment to providing excellent quality dairy products to consumers with superior customer service to our customers. We require an Order Desk Clerk for a 3 month temporary contract.
**Main Duties**
- Prepare the customer pick sheet and communicate to the warehouse for order fulfillment
- Assist with answering incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate person as necessary.
**Autonomy-Judgment**
- The position requires the individual to be highly organized to balance the order process from receipt through to processing and completing the process with the necessary supporting documentation. The individual will need to multitask and balance the requirements of the position with excellent organization skills.
**Communication**
- Communication is key to this position both externally to our consumers and customers, and internally across multi departments and people to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely processing and flow of information. This includes telephone, written and electronic,
**Decision-Making-Accountability**
- Speed and accuracy are critical to ensuring we process orders thru to customer pickup without missing the sales opportunity
- Require a thorough understanding of the needs and priorities for each customer, to maximize the organization's output and results. The incumbent will need to balance multiple activities and actions to ensure customer satisfaction within the required time frame.
**Scope of the Problem Solving**
- Assess customer needs and provide a solution
- Organize the workflow and demands of the position within a constantly changing and dynamic environment
- Prioritize actions based on the needs of the customer with the capacities of the business.
**Education**
- University/College degree preferred or 3 Years of relatable experience in an office setting.
**Skills Required**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Fluency in computers including Microsoft Office (Sage 300 an asset)
- Typing Skills of 60 WPM
- Problem Solving and Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience in a high paced work environment.
- Strong Customer Service
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
