**Residential and Community Support Coordinator**

**Job description**

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, critical thinker who leads by example to join our Residential and Community Support team as **Coordinator**. **Overall Position Summary** Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Coordinator has the responsibility for the development and implementation of documentation which supports the standardization of CET accreditation. The duties include supporting program needs through collaboration to ensure best practices, ensure processes are in place and operating effectively to provide excellent Individualized care, an aptitude for service, and support to people with disabilities. As a Coordinator you will be responsible for operational leadership in the Residential Support Program and Community Support Program. Key aspects of the role include the development and implementation of process guidelines, service monitoring and evaluation, service delivery coordination and intervention, overseeing payroll and employee expenses, and community liaison.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1) Training
- Leading the development/standardization of documentation and training of Community Disability Workers, Community Disability Practitioners, Community Resource Facilitators, and Program Supervisors.
- Involved in training of direct service staff, Community Resource Facilitators, and Program Supervisors (where necessary) in CET/CAC standards in preparation for accreditation in conjunction with the Program Coordinator(s).
- Present course material, supervise and monitor during the delivery of course material, ensure proper safety procedures are being followed, conduct validation activities/exams and formal training plan reviews or updates as applicable, work with other trainers from other programs, suggest improvements to be made in training processes to Learning and Development Committee.

2) Program Administration
- Lead and coordinate staffing/human resource planning for the Residential Support Program and Community Support Program relative to a particular service area or group of related services
- Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place and operating effectively to facilitate staff recruitment, orientation, performance planning, assessment/evaluation, and professional development; this may include assisting directly with the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff if required/appropriate.
- Provide leadership and support to Community Resource Facilitator, Program Supervisor, direct service staff and associated administrative staff to facilitate effective staff deployment and service delivery.
- Supervise staff in the Residential Support Program and Community Support Program and oversee the administration of programming
- Promote and advocate on behalf of the agency, agency services, the direct service/support resource team and the individuals supported. This may include issue and conflict management and resolution between and among agency staff, as well as between the organization and other service providers, funders, families/guardians, and other community and government stakeholders.
- Participate in the community to encourage and support community options, bridges, and connections, and through liaison with other organizations, groups and agencies expand not only the paid options available but also the natural supports within the community.
- Prepare operational procedures and guidelines and communication plans in collaboration with Program Coordinators (Residential Support Program and Community Support Program), which ensures accreditation standards are met.
- Establish and maintain a resource network that may be accessed to support and enhance service development and delivery.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records. This includes coordinating, analyzing and integrating required caseload documentation, and reporting results and actions in an objective and timely manner.
- Approve protocol, BSP and practice review preparation in conjunction with Residential Support Program and Community Support Program Coordinator(s).
- Setting up of new client services under the direction of Program Coordinator(s).
- Undertake special tasks, research, projects and/or other assignments, including representing the agency/organization on province-wide and other professional/community committees.
- Perform On-Call duties, as needed, after hours and or weekends to provide support and or direction to front line staff and or Program Supervisors.
- Communicate in a professional, timely, accurate and respectful manner with individuals, families, guardians, staff and community representatives.
- Work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Performs other duties as required.
