Community Support Coordinator

Job Summary:
Independent Counselling Enterprises (ICE) is looking to expand its team of dedicated disability services professionals within the Edmonton residential department. The position of Community Support Coordinator (CSC) is integral in providing quality service and care for adults who access residential service from ICE. The position allows for the opportunity to advance existing supervisory skills and make an impact in the lives of those with developmental disabilities.
**Duties**:
- Facilitating quality service for clients in care including implementation of behavioral and / or medical supports.
- Supervision of employees as assigned (i.e. performance management, staff development etc.).
- Communicating appropriately and effectively with stakeholders.
- Participation in the agency health and safety program including risk management and hazard identification / control.
- Completion of agency documentation including updating of electronic and hardcopy files.
- Crisis management and afterhours emergency response.
- Other projects as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Post secondary education in the rehabilitation or related field is an asset.
- Proactive behavior intervention or behavior management training is an asset.
- Knowledge of the disability service industry and associated standards.
- Experience working with people with disabilities.
- Supervisory / performance management experience.
- Ability to problem solving and proactively address stressful situations.
- Engagement in both teamwork and independent projects.
- Must be able to submit a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check prior to commencing employment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $27.13 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
